Paul Kaminski
Paul’s Atelier in his home, Wolfsburg, Germany.
Born in 1961 in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, and of German descent, Paul Kaminski has lived and worked in Wolfsburg, Germany since 1993. His artistic training was shaped solely within the studio of Valentin Golod—an exceptional artist and mentor—under whose guidance Kaminski studied for over a decade.
The diverse geography of his life, from the vast Kazakh steppes to the industrial backdrop of Wolfsburg—home to Europe's largest automobile plant—has profoundly influenced his artistic range. His oeuvre spans minimalist abstraction to lyrical figurative compositions, including evocative scenes of Spanish women and intimate café encounters.
Kaminski’s paintings possess a timeless aesthetic quality, gracing both classic British Victorian interiors and sleek contemporary Italian spaces. For him, art permeates every moment of life. In addition to his established studio practice, he teaches drawing to children at a local municipal school and is actively involved in civic beautification projects, contributing to the design of public spaces such as bus stops and urban lighting.
While best known in Germany, where he has held over 20 solo exhibitions in the past decade, Kaminski’s work has also been met with enthusiastic acclaim across Europe, with successful appearances in France, Ireland, Switzerland, and beyond.
